Gears of War 2: Post Title Update 6 (TU6) inconsistencies
PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING! First of all: sorry for the audio desync, I have no idea what happened to the sound. Title Update 6 is the bomb according to a part of the Gears of War 2 community, with claims that the Gnasher Shotgun has been finally fixed and is consistent, Client Side Hit Detection makes every shot count 100% of the time, and host selection has improved so that only 1/10 matches are laggy. This video was made to show that TU6 has gotten some stuff right, but is far, far away from making Gears 2 perfect like some people say. In the end, most of these problems would be fixed if host selection actually worked. None of the stuff that’s shown in this video happens to me when I play on a UK host. This video contains clips from one single match to show some of the inconsistencies present. I will upload different videos from different matches in the future. However, 4 out of 5 games I play are bad like this one or even worse. Bear in mind that I’m not attempting to troll Epic Games. I’m a huge fan of both their Unreal Tournament and Gears of War franchises. All I want is my favourite game to get better and more consistent. Again, in short: My main point is that poor host selection is still the main problem in Gears of War 2. Thanks for watching.
